Real Madrid striker Javier Hernandez has insisted that his side's victory over Atletico Madrid this evening was down to a team effort.
The Mexican grabbed the headlines with the winning goal two minutes from time at the Bernabeu, sending the reigning Champions League holders into the last four of the competition.
However, the 26-year-old was keen to stress the importance of his teammates, reserving particular praise for Cristiano Ronaldo, who unselfishly laid on the chance for Hernandez.
"I was the one who ended up scoring, but this win is down to the entire team. Every goal I score is huge for me," the on-loan Manchester United striker told reporters.
"It was a great pass from Cristiano Ronaldo. Atletico were great opponents, and last year they made it to the Champions League final. To be the champions of Europe again, we needed to beat them."
Madrid will face either Barcelona, Bayern Munich or Juventus in the semi-finals, with the draw taking place on Friday.
