Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed his delight at overtaking Barcelona's Lionel Messi for the number of Champions League goals scored in a calendar year.
The Portugal international equalised for his side in their 2-2 draw against Juventus on Tuesday evening to take his yearly tally up to 14 in the competition.
"I'm so happy; this is a great moment for my career. I feel so loved and always try to do my best," Ronaldo told Sky Sport.
"I'm not worried about the records. They come naturally. It's positive, but I want to win more and to be better in the future.
"We knew the difficulty against Juventus. In the first half we suffered, [but] in the second half we were redeemed. We reacted so well, we hit the post and we were better."
The draw sees Carlo Ancelotti's side up to 10 points at the top of Group B.
