Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has said that he is "pleased" with the form of Gareth Bale in the buildup to Saturday's Champions League final against Liverpool.
Bale has started just three Champions League games for Madrid so far this season, having fallen down the pecking order due to a mixture of form and fitness which has also raised questions over his future at the club.
However, the Welsh winger's goal in Madrid's 2-2 draw with Villarreal on Saturday was his fifth in his last four starts for the club, and Zidane is happy with his improved form in front of goal.
"Bale has never given up. He's training well and the only thing that's changed is that he's now scoring goals, as he has done in the last few games," Zidane told reporters.
"I'm pleased with his performance and what he brings to the team. Nothing has change. The only difference is that he's been scoring of late."
Bale has made 38 appearances for Madrid across all competitions this season, scoring 19 goals and assisting eight.
