Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo will discover the length of his domestic ban when the Spanish FA meet on Wednesday.
The Portuguese captain was handed a straight red card in the latter stages of Madrid's 1-1 draw with Athletic Bilbao at the weekend after raising his hands to Carlos Gurpegi in an off-the-ball incident.
As it stands, Ronaldo will only miss the league clash with Villarreal at the weekend, but under the RFEF's official rules, a ban in the excess of three games could also be awarded depending on how the 28-year-old's conduct is viewed.
The ban will not cover Wednesday's Copa del Rey semi-final first leg against Atletico Madrid, but the second leg could be included in any possible suspension.
Ronaldo has scored 32 goals this season.
