Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has insisted that a top-three La Liga finish and Copa del Rey win were the targets for his side at the start of the season.
Simeone also said that his side and Real Madrid both play in a similar way and there will not be much between them on Friday night.
"After achieving the main goal to be among the top three and getting into the Champions League, to ensure economic growth a better economic future for the club, it is now most important for the fans to win tournaments," Simeone told the club's official website.
"People are not going to celebrate the third place, but they will with this type of game. We have the ability. Since the cup began we wanted to win and we are in the place where we wanted to be.
"Real Madrid are a team with are difficult to contain when there is space, and we're a dangerous team with space. I imagine the team that has the best connection between the midfield and the attack will be closer to the victory."
The final kicks off at 8.30pm.
