Francisco Gento (1953-1971)
Francisco Gento was the one true constant throughout the main glory years of Real Madrid, with his first-team career at the club spanning 18 years.
The left-winger won a record 12 La Liga titles in the space of 16 years during that time, making 606 appearances for the club and scoring 178 goals.
Gento is perhaps most famous for his unparalleled haul of six European Cups, though, establishing himself as a key member of the team which won five in a row between 1955 and 1960, and a sixth in 1965-66.
In all, the Spaniard won 23 trophies during his time at the club, with his pace and dribbling ability renowned throughout the world.
