Iker Casillas has called on former Real Madrid and Barcelona players to compete in a charity El Clasico in the future.
As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, football has been suspended in the majority of nations across Europe, including Spain where there is no prospect of a resumption before the end of May.
Addressing the current situation on Twitter, Casillas feels that ex-representatives of the two teams should get together to raise funds to aid the global crisis.
The World Cup winner said: "When all this nightmare is over, we should gather the legends of years ago and play a VINTAGE CLASICO!!"
The idea was soon supported by a number of his Spanish compatriots, including Fernando Morientes, Andres Iniesta and Cesc Fabregas.
