Real Madrid assistant boss Aitor Karanka has insisted that the Spanish giants will treat the highly-anticipated El Clasico encounter like any other game.

La Liga will experience the first league clash between Real and Barcelona on Saturday, but Karanka has admitted that Jose Mourinho's side will not approach the battle against their fierce rivals any differently.

"We are in good shape," said Karanka. "It is just one more game and we will not change our way of doing things. It is true they are a direct rival but that does not change anything. There are three points at stake and that will not change."

The Catalans top the Clasico record with 11 wins out of 12. However, Mourinho's men have won their last ten fixtures in the domestic league.
