Gareth Bale has branded his Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo "a natural goalscorer" after the Portugal captain scored in Wednesday night's Euro 2016 semi-final against Wales.
Bale's three goals had helped Wales made the semi-finals of a major competition for the first time, but it was Ronaldo that came out on top on Wednesday as the 31-year-old scored in a 2-0 Portuguese success.
Bale paid tribute to his Real teammate following the last-four clash, but was keen to focus on his nation's own performance in Lyon.
"[Ronaldo] is a natural goalscorer and he scored yet again. It's not about them, it's about us. We're disappointed but we'll pick ourselves up. We're a proud bunch and we'll stick together and lift the spirits and go again," Bale told UEFA.com.
Portugal will take on either France or Germany in the final of Euro 2016 on Sunday night.
