How Real Madrid could line up against Valencia

Sports Mole looks at how Real Madrid could line up in Wednesday night's La Liga clash with Valencia.

Real Madrid will be looking to make it four straight La Liga wins when they travel to Valencia on Wednesday night.

Valencia are currently three points off the top four ahead of Tuesday night's fixtures. Madrid, meanwhile, are not challenging for the title this season, but will have second-placed Atletico Madrid in their sights.

Madrid ensured that they would make it three straight league wins by overcoming Huesca on Sunday night, but it was far from a convincing performance from the reigning European champions, who needed a late Karim Benzema strike to triumph.

Los Blancos are currently third in the table, two points off second-placed Atletico and 12 behind leaders Barcelona, who both play on Tuesday night.

Here, Sports Mole takes a look at how Madrid could line up at the Mestalla.

Out: Vinicius Junior (knee), Dani Carvajal (muscle), Thibaut Courtois (knock), Nacho (suspended)
Doubtful: Marcos Llorente (fitness)

Marcos Llorente made his return from injury against Huesca at the weekend, but the midfielder was absent from Tuesday morning's training session and is therefore unlikely to feature at the Mestalla.

Thibaut Courtois again missed training, meanwhile, meaning that Keylor Navas is expected to get the nod between the sticks, despite Luca Zidane playing against Huesca at the weekend.

Vinicius Junior and Dani Carvajal will definitely both miss out through injury, while Nacho is suspended, meaning that Raphael Varane is expected to return in central defence.

Casemiro, Toni Kroos and Marco Asensio did not play last time out, but all three are expected to return to the starting XI for this one.

Gareth Bale should keep his spot despite struggling against Huesca, but Lucas Vazquez is another option for Zinedine Zidane in the final third of the field.
