Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that he will decide on Saturday whether Ferland Mendy will be involved in the La Liga contest with Getafe.
Mendy did not train with Los Blancos on Friday, with the Frenchman instead undergoing individual work in the pool following Wednesday's Champions League clash with Chelsea, where he played the full 90 minutes.
Speaking during his pre-match press conference, Ancelotti revealed that the defender was "tired" rather than injured, and a decision on his involvement against Getafe will be made tomorrow.
"He hasn't trained today. He's still tired and we decided that he should do some individual work in the pool and gym. He's not injured, we'll have a look at him tomorrow," Ancelotti told reporters.
Mendy has again been an important player for Real Madrid during the 2021-22 campaign, making 28 appearances in all competitions, contributing one goal and three assists.
However, the 26-year-old has had problems with his hamstring and abductor muscle in recent weeks, missing out against Barcelona before the international break through injury.
