Real Madrid attacker Cristiano Ronaldo has taken to Instagram to confirm that he did not suffer a potentially serious injury in his team's 3-0 win over Villarreal on Wednesday night.
The Portuguese limped off in the final minutes of the La Liga clash at the Bernabeu and it had been claimed after the match that the 31-year-old suffered damage to his hamstring.
However, on Thursday morning, Ronaldo wrote "All good. Thanks for your support," on his Instagram page.
After Wednesday's success over the Yellow Submarine, Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane told reporters: "Once in a while he needs to be substituted so he can rest.
"It's necessary for him not to finish one game or to miss one game occasionally. But he's a player who always wants to play and give everything he has. It's difficult for me at times."
Ronaldo has scored 47 times in 44 appearances for Real Madrid this season.
