Carlo Ancelotti has described his Real Madrid side as a "mess" following their 4-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Madrid derby in La Liga.
Real suffered their heaviest defeat in more than four years at the Vicente Calderon on Saturday, but remain at the top of the table, four points clear of Barcelona.
At his post-match press conference, the Los Blancos manager told reporters: "We were a mess and lost all our aerial battles. None of our players had a good game. I have to look at this coldly and accept responsibility for this game.
"We have to review what has happened but we mustn't forget that we're still top of La Liga. I have a lot of faith in these players."
Real have won just one of their last six meetings with their local rivals, beating Atletico in the Champions League final in May last year.
