Alvaro Arbeloa has insisted that Real Madrid's 4-2 defeat at Real Sociedad last weekend will inspire them to improve, starting with the Madrid derby against Atletico Madrid.
The capital rivals clash after the international break, with Los Blancos attempting to return to winning ways following their shock loss at the Anoeta.
"The defeat in San Sebastian was particularly hard because of the way it happened," he told reporters at an Adidas event.
"But we are now thinking about working hard. We have a very important match against Atletico after the [international] break with our people and our fans.
"We're aware that this is a warning and it will motivate us and help us see that we need a change."
Arbeloa entered as a second-half substitute in the clash with Sociedad.
