Villarreal goalkeeper Sergio Asenjo has branded his performance against Real Madrid on Sunday 'one of the best moments of his career'.
The stopper was beaten by Cristiano Ronaldo from the penalty spot early in the second period, but produced a string of excellent saves in the remainder of the match to help his side secure a 1-1 draw.
"The most important thing is that my stops earned us a point at the Bernabeu and allowed us to continue growing as a team. The truth is that I'm living in one of my best moments since joining Villarreal," Asenjo told El Larguero.
Asenjo has been with Villarreal since 2013, but only made his move permanent from Atletico Madrid last summer.
