Gareth Bale has revealed that he is "absolutely gutted" that he will not be able to take part in Real Madrid's clash with Celta Vigo, as the Welshman continues to recover from a calf injury.
The former Tottenham Hotspur winger also missed out on his side's Champions League stalemate with Paris Saint-Germain in midweek, after picking up the injury last month in Madrid's 3-0 win over Levante.
The Wales star wrote on his own personal Twitter page: "Absolutely gutted not to be playing today but working hard to be back soon! Good luck to the boys."
Bale has been criticised by some of the Spanish media after he took part in Wales's Euro 2016 qualifying match with Andorra four days before picking up his current injury, despite having already qualified for next year's tournament.
Celta Vigo currently sit level on points with Madrid and Barcelona in La Liga with 18 points.
