Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has claimed that this year for club and country has been a particularly memorable one for him.
In May, the 27-year-old lifted his second Champions League trophy in three seasons with the Spanish giants.
Bale, who signed for Los Blancos from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013, also helped guide Wales to the semi-finals of the European Championships this summer.
"Winning the Champions League with Real was the biggest thing for me last season," Bale told 24sata. "It was long and tough season, but we fought hard and won what we wanted to win.
"For me, it was a great season, not only with the club. We've had a great Euros, so I'll never forget this year."
The Welsh attacker, who is in the running for the Best Player in Europe award, scored twice in Madrid's 3-0 win over Real Sociedad in their opening La Liga game of the season.
