Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale has urged more players to take the opportunity to play in a foreign league at some stage during their career.
Bale enjoyed a successful start to life in Spain last season after joining Madrid for a world-record fee from Tottenham Hotspur, and he believes that other players should be looking to move abroad.
"I think the most important thing is you feel it's the right move," the Welshman is quoted as saying by The Independent. "If you feel you're going to play, then I would encourage a British player to go abroad. I've enjoyed every minute of it, the new culture, the new life.
"I felt like I wanted to challenge myself. It's down to the player himself whether he can kick on."
Bale is expected to be in the side when Real meet Atletico Madrid on Saturday night.
