Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema and Bayern Munich striker Franck Ribery will stand trial for allegedly paying an underage prostitute for sex.
The case began in 2010 after Zahia Dehar claimed that Benzema had paid for her services in 2008 when she was 16 years old, while Ribery allegedly had her flown to Munich a year later.
While prostitution is legal in France, it is against the law to pay for sex with an individual under the age of 18.
Dehar, who is now 20, has admitted that the France internationals, who both deny the charges, were unaware of her age at the time.
If found guilty, the pair could face up to three years in prison or be forced to pay a £35,000 fine.
