Real Madrid defender Daniel Carvajal has praised Gareth Bale following the Welshman's debut for the Spanish outfit at the weekend.
Carvajal, who assisted Bale for Madrid's equaliser in their 2-2 draw with Villarreal in La Liga, has also revealed that he is developing an understanding with the 24-year-old.
"We understood each other well both in attack and in defence. I saw him available for the equaliser and so gave him the pass. To quickly reach his level through adaptation is optimal," he told AS.
"Bale is fast and like to play with space but he also has the quality to move inside and allow me space. How did his first game go? It was a bittersweet debut, because he scored, but we did not win.
"He is at the best club in the world and the pressure is very high because here are the best players, but everyone tries to give their best."
Madrid have won three and drawn one of their first four games in La Liga.
