Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal has expressed his belief that Sunday's 5-0 win over Athletic Bilbao was one of his side's "best matches" in recent seasons.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick in the victory at the Bernabeu and Carvajal also took the time to praise the Portuguese international.
"We are very happy with the result and three points. It was one of the team's best matches, very complete. We were compact and we enjoyed ourselves," he told the club's official website.
"We're close to our optimum level. We play as a unit even though we are a very direct team.
"The three forwards are really pacey and they cannot sprint up and down all match. Cristiano is not an extra-terrestrial but he is the best in the world."
Karim Benzema also netted twice in the romp in Madrid.
