Cordoba boss Albert Ferrer has revealed that his side are "looking forward" to opening their La Liga campaign away to Real Madrid on Monday evening.
The newly-promoted outfit face arguably their toughest trip of the season in their first match, but former Chelsea defender Ferrer is relishing the battle in the capital.
"We are looking forward to what will be physically and mentally tough conditions," he told reporters at a press conference.
"We're going there to play, and hopefully, if we do, we'll get something positive out of it.
"Every team that goes to the Bernabeu will play the same way – try and defend well and then make the most of it when they have the ball. It's not going to be easy, but we're going there with great enthusiasm."
Cordoba came through the Segunda Division playoffs last season.
