Real Madrid record signing Gareth Bale has admitted that he enjoys "putting pressure" on his title rivals after their 4-2 victory over Villarreal on Saturday saw them top La Liga ahead of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
The winger scored the opening goal of the game at the Santiago Bernabeu as the Spanish capital side continued their unbeaten start to 2014.
Reigning champions Barcelona face a trip to seventh-placed Sevilla this evening, and the Welshman believes that the Blaugrana will be under pressure to produce a good result.
"The most important thing is the victory for the team, but obviously I'm very happy with the goal and putting pressure on our rivals in La Liga," he is quoted as saying by AS.
"We're enjoying playing our football and that's very important."
Bale opened the scoring for Madrid, before Karim Benzema netted a brace either side of Jese Rodriguez's goal.
