Boss Ryan Giggs has suggested that he intends to use Gareth Bale for both of Wales's matches at the China Cup.
On Thursday, Giggs revealed his first squad as manager of the Dragons, with Bale among the 27 players selected for the tournament which features Uruguay, Czech Republic and tournament hosts China.
Bale has endured injury issues this season and Real Madrid are still competing in two competitions, but Giggs has indicated that he wants the forward to feature in both games in Asia.
The 44-year-old is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying: "All players that go out are preparing for playing both games, but you have to be sensible as well. If players get a knock when they are on tour and we feel it's better they go back, they will go back early.
"There are players for who it is an ideal trip for them to get games and minutes under their belt - and it is for Gareth. He's started the majority of Real's league games recently, but he was on the bench for the two Champions League games.
"I was at the first game against Paris Saint-Germain where he came on and did well in the last 20 or 25 minutes, and there is a case with a lot of the players where they need games."
Bale has made 17 starts and eight substitute outings in all competitions during the current campaign.
