Real Madrid attacker Isco has insisted that Los Blancos have only themselves to blame after dropping out of contention for the Primera Division title this season.
Sunday's 2-0 defeat at Celta Vigo means that the capital outfit can no longer win the title and are facing the probability of finishing third in the table this season.
"We've let our intensity drop in the last few matches; it's not like Madrid, which is used to fighting to the end," he told the club's official website.
"We haven't achieved what we wanted. Looking at how everyone else has slipped up we would have had a chance. Now it's time to hold our heads up.
"We've lost the Liga through our own mistakes. All we can do now is learn from it and turn our minds towards the last Liga match, which will serve as preparation for the Champions League final."
Barcelona and Atletico Madrid will meet next weekend in the title decider.
