Brazilian defender Marcelo has spoken of his "immense pride" after celebrating 10 years at Real Madrid, but the full-back is still fully focused on winning more trophies in Madrid.
The 28-year-old joined Los Blancos from Fluminense in 2007 and has racked up 372 appearances for the Spanish giants in all competitions, winning three league titles and two Champions Leagues in the process.
Marcelo has branded his time at the Bernabeu "marvellous", but is not content with his trophy cabinet and wants more silverware with the capital outfit.
"It's a source of immense pride to be up there with the appearances of Roberto Carlos and Alfredo Di Stefano. As you know, Roberto Carlos is my idol and to be close to your idol in any profession is priceless," Marcelo told Real Madrid's official website.
"I signed for the club at 18 and it was a very tough experience because coming to a club like Real Madrid, which is a really big club, is tough at that age, but it has been marvellous and today I'm celebrating 10 happy years.
"I was very young when I came here and I was a bit apprehensive at the start, but it has been incredible. These 10 years have flown by, but they've been marvellous I came to the club wanting to win titles and to make the Real Madrid starting lineup - I've won a few titles and hope to win many more."
Marcelo has scored once in 11 appearances for Real Madrid this season.
