Lionel Messi believes that his Barcelona teammate Andres Iniesta deserves to win the 2012 FIFA Ballon d'Or.
The Barca duo and Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo are the three shortlisted candidates for the most prestigious individual award in world football this year.
"I would not mind giving the Ballon d'Or to Andres," said the 25-year-old. "He deserves it for how well he and the team are doing."
Messi has won the Ballon d'Or for the past three years.
