The trophy was presented to the Barcelona forward during the Champions League group stage draw in Monaco.
The 24-year-old pipped teammate Xavi and Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo to the top prize.
The Argentinian scored 53 goals last season, helping the Catalan club to triumphs in La Liga and the Champions League.
