Real Sociedad manager David Moyes has leapt to the defence of Real Madrid's Gareth Bale after the Welshman was booed by his own supporters.
The Wales international missed two goalscoring opportunities during his side's 4-1 victory over Sociedad on Saturday and was subsequently targeted by the home fans.
"Gareth Bale is a fantastic player," Moyes told reporters. "He had a couple of chances to score and there is nothing to worry about him. I'm sure he will be someone great."
Addressing the outcome of the match, the Scot was quick to admit that there was a gulf in quality between the two sides.
"We tried to play with the ball," he added." We started the game very well, but there was a big difference in the quality of the teams."
The result leaves Real four points clear of second-placed Barcelona at the top of the table, while Sociedad occupy 12th place.
