Barcelona attacker Pedro has admitted that he is desperate to start the Clasico against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu on Sunday evening.
Despite netting 18 times for the Spanish champions this season, Pedro is not guaranteed a start at the weekend due to the recent form of Alexis Sanchez and Lionel Messi.
However, the Spaniard is hopeful that his recent performances will earn him a spot in the XI.
"I'll fight until the end and work hard, because these are unique games and you never want to miss out on them. I have to stay calm," he told the club's official television channel.
"In the end, the task the manager has is difficult, because he has twenty-three players and choosing an eleven is hard. I have to accept the decisions he makes. My aim is just to give 100% of myself, when I get to play.
"It's difficult to get into this team and I always aim to make the most of my chances. This has been a good season for me and hopefully in the end, it will also be for the team. Every season there's been great competition for places, because the players we have in attack here are the best in the world."
Pedro has 14 goals in the league this season – his best tally for the club.
