Former Barcelona and Real Madrid striker Alfonso Perez has said that recent criticism aimed at Cristiano Ronaldo is "not fair".
Ronaldo, 30, has scored eight La Liga goals in 11 games this season, but five of those came in one match.
The Portuguese's performances in recent weeks have been criticised in some quarters and Perez has said that it is because everyone has "been very spoiled" by the attacker.
"We've been very spoiled by [Cristiano Ronaldo]. Just because he hasn't been plugged in [for the last two weeks], we're talking about a crisis. It's not fair," Perez told Marca.
Perez came through the youth system at Real Madrid before going on to make almost 100 league appearances for the Spanish giants.
The now 43-year-old also had a spell with Barcelona from 2000 until 2002.
