Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos is hopeful that Jese Rodriguez's season-ending knee injury will not impact on his future career.
Jese has been one of the stars of the season for Los Blancos, with the Spanish youngster netting eight times in all competitions during a breakthrough campaign.
However, the attacker will play no further part this season after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in the 3-1 Champions League win over Schalke 04.
"We've already been warned it could be a serious injury. He was in a good moment in his career, getting minutes and contributing to the team," Ramos told TVE.
Jese is expected to undergo surgery later this week.
