Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo believes that Gareth Bale is still "adapting to the team".

The Wales international winger joined the Spanish giants from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer for a reported fee of £85m.

"We are getting to know him and he is adapting to the team," Madrid's official website quotes Ronaldo as saying.

"He is getting up to speed and, seeing as he has been out of action for a while, things are going well."

Bale scored on his debut for Madrid against Villarreal in La Liga last weekend.
