Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has escaped a one-match ban after winning an appeal against a yellow card that was issued to him on Wednesday.
The Portugal captain was booked for simulation following a tackle by Antonio Amaya in the penalty area during Madrid's 2-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano.
Due to the yellow card being Ronaldo's fifth of the season, an automatic one-game ban was implemented, but the Ballon d'Or winner is now free to play against Eibar on Saturday after an appeal by the club was successful.
The Spanish giants are currently four points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona.
