Former Real Madrid striker Santillana has backed Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti as the "perfect" replacement for Jose Mourinho.
Ancelotti has been installed as the big favourite to become Real's new coach and Santillana said that he would be able to control the egos in the dressing room.
"Ancelotti is the perfect coach because he can deal with the players and bring peace to the dressing room," Marca quotes him as saying.
"It's important to have a good, well-balanced squad. A good coach cannot make an average squad great, but a great squad can make a coach great."
Santillana is Real's third-highest goalscorer of all time.
