Cristiano Ronaldo is one of those footballers that comes around only once in a blue moon.

Men want to be the Portuguese superstar, while women want to date him.

On the pitch things couldn't be going any better for the 27-year-old. Just last week he won the La Liga title with Real Madrid to add to all the medals that he collected during his six-year stint at Old Trafford.

What's more, the goalscoring machine seems to have his life off the field of play in good order!

For the last two years Ronnie has been dating Russian model Irina Shayk.

Shayk's relationship with CR7 has made her one of the most sought-after models not just in Spain, but across Europe.

Already this month she has been called to shoots in Istanbul, London and Lisbon, while she has also agreed a modelling deal with Spanish clothing company Blanco.

However, it could have been so different for the 26-year-old, who was musically gifted as a child, before going on to study marketing at university. Thankfully for Ronaldo and glamour model fans across the globe Shayk found her studies boring and so began a new career.

While their jobs often see them spend lengthy period of times apart, a recent report claimed that the pair are happier than ever.

Meeting Shayk has coincided with Ronaldo embarking on a record-breaking run of form in front of goal. The Madeira-born playmaker has scored an astonishing 145 goals in just 143 outings for Los Blancos.

Rumour has it that even manager Jose Mourinho approves of the relationship and has advised his fellow countryman to tie knot with his other half!
