Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane has branded his teammate Cristiano Ronaldo "a superstar".
Ronaldo has come in for criticism in recent months despite another outstanding scoring season, but Varane believes that the Portuguese deserves nothing but praise.
"This is a superstar. But also a very professional guy; always listen to your body to be on top physically," Varane told La Voix du Nord.
"This is an outstanding competitor, always 200%, an example to follow in everyday life."
Ronaldo hit his 42nd goal of the season in his side's 2-1 defeat to Barcelona on Sunday evening.
