Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has paid tribute to Borja Mayoral for the teenager's performance against Levante.
Karim Benzema is expected to spend the next month on the sidelines with a muscular problem and Zidane has turned to 18-year-old Mayoral to lead his attack in the Frenchman's absence.
The teenager made his first La Liga start against Levante on Wednesday and played a key role in his team's 3-1 win in Valencia.
"He's the second number nine. We know what he can bring us. He's doing well, training well, he's committed, and is very young. He has confidence and personality," Zidane told reporters.
Mayoral, who joined Los Blancos in 2007, has scored 13 times for Real Madrid Castilla this season.
