The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Real Madrid eye possible reinforcements.
Florentino Perez oversaw a significant overhaul of his squad last summer before focusing more on youth in January. As is always the case with Madrid, though, some of the biggest names in football continue to be linked, even in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news of possible comings and goings at the Bernabeu.
Tuesday morning's Real Madrid transfer talk news roundup:
Donny van de Beek 'agrees five-year Manchester United contract'
Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek has reportedly agreed a five-year contract with Manchester United.
The two clubs are understood to have agreed on a transfer fee for the 23-year-old, with Ajax set to earn an initial £35.8m with that sum potentially rising due to add-ons and bonuses.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano now claims that the paperwork has been signed by both parties and that Van de Beek will put pen to paper on a five-year contract in the coming hours.
The deal will keep the Netherlands international at Old Trafford until 2025, with Manchester United beating Barcelona and Real Madrid to his signature.
Van de Beek, who scored 10 goals and created 11 more in 37 appearances for Ajax across all competitions last season, will become United's first signing of the summer.
Dani Ceballos 'agrees return to Arsenal on loan from Real Madrid'
Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos has reportedly agreed to return to Arsenal on loan for the 2020-21 campaign.
The 24-year-old spent last season on loan at the Emirates Stadium, establishing himself as a key member of Mikel Arteta's starting XI after the Spaniard took over.
Ceballos returned to parent club Real Madrid at the end of the season and had been linked with a move to Real Betis, having allegedly asked Madrid to grant a reunion with his former club.
However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims that Arsenal are now on the verge of reaching an agreement to bring Ceballos back to the club on loan.
Negotiations are understood to be at an advanced stage and Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is expected to give the green light for the Spain international to leave again.
Ceballos made 37 appearances for Arsenal last season, scoring twice and creating two more goals.
