Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain scored his second hat-trick for Real Madrid in successive matches to help his side record a 4-1 victory over Real Betis this evening.
All goals in the match came after the break, with Brazilian midfielder Kaka making it 2-0 to Madrid after Higuain had opened the scoring in the 46th minute.
Visiting Betis momentarily brought themselves to within one goal of Los Blancos at 2-1 courtesy of a 69th minute strike from Jorge Molina, but just one minute later Higuain restored the two goal margin.
The gap was extended further 14 minutes from time when Higuain collected possession from Angel di Maria before lifting the ball over Castro in goal.
Next up for Real Madrid is a Champions League fixture against French club Lyon.
