Real Madrid eye Mauricio Pochettino or Max Allegri as Zinedine Zidane successor?

Real Madrid are reportedly lining up Mauricio Pochettino and Massimiliano Allegri as possible replacements for manager Zinedine Zidane following a run of one win in five.

Real Madrid have reportedly looked to former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino and ex-Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri as replacements for under-fire Zinedine Zidane.

Los Blancos were defeated 2-1 by Real Betis on Sunday, allowing arch-rivals Barcelona to reclaim their spot at the top of La Liga.

According to Marca, Real Madrid's president Florentino Perez has told Zidane that his job is safe, despite a run of just one win in their last five matches across all competitions.

However, rumours are now circulating that either Pochettino or Allegri is set to replace the 47-year-old.

Pochettino reportedly sees Zidane's current role as the dream job, with the Argentinian rejecting a move to Barcelona earlier this season.

Real Madrid are set to face Manchester City in the second leg of the last-16 Champions League clash next week, having endured a 2-1 loss to the Citizens last month.
