AC Milan reportedly want to keep Real Madrid midfielder Brahim Diaz at San Siro until the end of the 2021-22 campaign.
With the former Manchester City youngster having failed to make an impact at the Bernabeu, Real were happy for the Spaniard to spend a year at Milan.
The 21-year-old has been provided regular game time at the Italian giants, contributing four goals and one assist from 13 appearances in all competitions.
According to Calciomercato, the Serie A leaders are keen to hold discussions regarding an extension to the current agreement in place with Real.
Milan plan to put a case forward saying that Diaz's development will benefit if he is able to spend a second successive year at his current club.
Much could depend on whether Zinedine Zidane, who has preferred other players to Diaz, stays at Los Blancos in the long term.
