AC Milan are reportedly reluctant to pay the €22m (£18m) required to sign Brahim Diaz on a permanent deal from Real Madrid during this summer's transfer window.
The 22-year-old has been an important player for Milan during the 2021-22 campaign, making 35 appearances in all competitions, contributing four goals and four assists in the process.
Milan have the option to sign the Spain international on a permanent deal this summer, but according to Calciomercato, the Italian giants are not currently prepared to pay the asking price.
The report claims that Diaz is keen to move to San Siro on a long-term basis, but he will have to have a strong end to the season to convince Milan to meet Real Madrid's €22m (£18m) valuation.
The versatile attacker, who has three goals and three assists in 27 Serie A appearances this season, still has more than three years left to run on his contract with his parent club.
Diaz has scored twice and registered three assists in 21 outings for Los Blancos since joining the club from Manchester City, but he has been on loan with Milan since September 2020. body check tags ::
