David Alaba's father and agent George Alaba has confirmed that the versatile Bayern Munich ace is a transfer target for European champions Real Madrid.
The Austria international, used in a number of defensive and midfield positions during his eight years in Bayern's senior ranks, was recently linked with both Madrid and Barcelona.
A summer move to the Bernabeu could still be on the cards for Alaba, as Los Blancos are said to retain a strong interest in the 25-year-old.
"Everyone knows that Real Madrid are really interested in David," George Alaba told Spanish outlet AS. "But we can't say anything right now.
"We'll see what happens in the summer. Now isn't the moment to discuss who is interested in him. Everyone already knows of Madrid's interest, it's no secret. But right now there's nothing to say. He has to wait and see at the end of the season."
Alaba has been used 35 times in all competitions for Bayern this season, mainly in the left-back position.
