New Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti reportedly wants to bring Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema to Italy this summer.
Ancelotti was appointed Napoli's new head coach on Wednesday, with Maurizio Sarri, who has been strongly linked with Chelsea, leaving the Serie A giants.
According to AS, the Italian wants a new centre-forward in this summer's transfer window, and has identified Benzema as the perfect player to lead the line next season.
The 30-year-old has only scored 11 times for Madrid this season, but he starred under Ancelotti at the Bernabeu, and it is understood that the pair still have a strong relationship.
Benzema has a contract with Los Blancos until the end of the 2020-21 campaign.
