The father of Ansu Fati has claimed that the Barcelona prospect has previously rejected a transfer to Real Madrid.
Towards the end of Barcelona's 5-2 victory over Real Betis on Sunday night, Fati was given his senior debut, becoming the second-youngest player to represent the La Liga giants.
However, father Bori Fati has claimed that they turned down the chance to play for Real Madrid, despite Los Blancos offering 'a lot of money' for the teenager.
Bori told RAC1: "I had an offer from Madrid for a lot of money, but Albert Puig came and told me that they were Barca and that they had a project.
"That in a few years I would see him there. We know he works but we couldn't imagine that he would be playing with these beasts. Training with [Gerard} Pique."
The Catalan outfit currently sit in ninth position in the top-flight standings.
