Barcelona have reportedly made a bid for want-away Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria.

The Catalan giants have allegedly bid £48m for the Argentine, with the offer supposedly rejected almost instantly by Madrid president Florentino Perez, according to Sport.

Di Maria requested to leave the Champions League winners after failing to agree new terms on his current contract.

Carlo Ancelotti also confirmed that midfielder Sami Khedira wanted to leave Madrid, with Arsenal heavily rumoured to be after his signature.
