Former Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United forward Dimitar Berbatov has urged Gareth Bale to leave Real Madrid as he is not appreciated at the Bernabeu.
Bale joined Los Blancos from Tottenham in the summer of 2013 and has scored 100 goals in 219 appearances for the Spanish giants in all competitions.
The 29-year-old has won four Champions League titles with Madrid but still has a difficult relationship with the Spanish club's supporters, having suffered with a number of injury problems during his time at the Bernabeu.
Berbatov has claimed that Bale 'gets the blame for everyone wrong' at the club, urging the Welshman, who continues to be linked with a return to the Premier League, to "move on".
"Bale seems to be getting the blame for everything that goes wrong at Real Madrid - which is wrong. His stats this season are 12 goals from 30 appearances, he is performing, yet he is still the whipping boy," Berbatov told Betfair. "If you don't feel appreciated, then you have to move on."
Bale has only managed six La Liga goals for Madrid this term.
