Borussia Dortmund reportedly wish to hold talks with Real Madrid regarding the permanent signing of Achraf Hakimi.
The Morocco international has spent the last two campaigns on loan at the Westfalenstadion, contributing 10 goals from 64 appearances in all competitions.
As it stands, the 21-year-old is due to return to the Bernabeu, where he could challenge for a first-team role next season.
However, according to AS, Dortmund want to keep Hakimi in Germany for the foreseeable future, whether that be on a temporary or full-time basis.
Much could depend on if Zinedine Zidane intends to promote the player ahead of the likes of Dani Carvajal and Marcelo.
Real are also keen to raise transfer funds and create space on their wage bill for their own additions.
