Real Madrid have confirmed the arrival of Eduardo Camavinga on a six-year deal from Rennes.
The 18-year-old entered the final year of his contract with Bruno Genesio's side earlier this summer and was linked with moves to Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain among others.
However, Paul Pogba staying at United and PSG's move for Lionel Messi saw Real jump to the head of the queue for Camavinga, and reports on Monday evening claimed that Los Blancos had won the race for his signature.
Now, Carlo Ancelotti's side confirmed on deadline day that Camavinga is a Real Madrid player, with the La Liga side reportedly forking out an initial fee of €31m (£26.6m) which could rise to €40m (£34.3m) with add-ons.
The France international has signed a six-year contract with Real Madrid until the summer of 2027 and leaves Rennes after scoring two goals and setting up five more in 88 appearances across all competitions.
Camavinga made six appearances for Les Rouge et Noir in the 2021-22 season before making the switch to Real, although he only started one of those games.
